Director Brian Horsburgh
Brian is currently a Business Development Director for the IP Group and sits on the boards of several portfolio companies providing strategic and commercial advice.  Prior to this he spent three years responsible for search and evaluation of technologies that addressed emerging opportunities in healthcare markets for ITI Life Sciences. Brian has held various leadership positions in drug discovery, preclinical development and scientific affairs for U.S. and Canadian biotechnology companies. In this capacity he played a key role in the sale of NeuroVir to MediGene for $77M and founded Nurel Therapeutics that was subsequently sold to Diamyd AB. Brian was the Charles A King Fellow at Harvard Medical School and has a PhD from Cambridge University.

Non Executive Director Graham Paterson

Graham (MBA FCCA) is the Managing Director of Glasgow University Holdings Ltd, the University of Glasgow's commercial companies division and is also the University's Corporate Development Director. His roles include identifying new company led income generating projects, the management of GU Holdings' subsidiary companies and spinout investments and the establishment of new business networks to promote the University's brand to the corporate sector for business development purposes.

CEO Dr. Paul J Heaney

Paul has nearly 25 years commercial experience in the Life Sciences sector. Paul has held executive management roles in both major corporations (Kodak Clinical Diagnostics & GE-Amersham) and in three iconic American biotech start-ups (Genometrix, OrchidCellmark, Sequenom) with two of these having successful IPO's on NASDAQ. Paul has lead Commercial and R&D teams taking ideas through to launched and commercially successful products. Paul has also played a variety of key roles in developing novel business strategies that enabled early start-ups to raise funding and drive towards successful exits.
